Toronto Toronto Toronto

"I am sittin at a counter in the diner on the corner, ...."

So I'm actually not sitting in a diner, rather a internet kiosk in the new terminal 1 at Narita airport in Japan. I've arrived two hours before I can check in and figured id do a little surfing. I'm pretty exhausted after a week of bonenkais (xmas parties) and kindergarten but I'm too excited about going home to sleep! I just rode the bus for two hours and didn't get a minute of shut eye. For those who know me, and my narcoleptic ways, you know that's just crazy!! The new terminal is pretty sterile feeling. There is no big xmas tree and almost no people. But its quiet so maybe I can read to pass the time (after my supply of 100 yen coins to pay for the internet runs out).

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm really looking forward to seeing you when I'm home. I can't wait to celebrate this holiday Season with family and friends!

Big hugs and see you soon!!

Wham!!

"Last christmas i gave you my heart, but the very next day you gave it away. This year, to save me from tears, i'll give it to someone special..."

This is my last year in Japan.
Thursday was my last day teaching Japanese kids about Christmas.
Friday was my last Board of Education bonenkai (xmas party).

Ive been experiencing many 'lasts' lately. Nina and I are constantly reminding/informing ourselves and Eachother about all the 'lasts'. Everytime we talk about it, its kind of sad. But i should be exciting too. It means that next year i'll (we'll) be experiencing lots of 'firsts' and new things. 'New' is good, right??
