Day 5: Mt Kinabalu
MT. Kinabalu, South East Asias highest peak and a world heritage site, towers majestically at 4095m and is located a short distance from KK. Today I visited Poring Hot Springs located in Kinabalu park and got to see the Mountain Garden at MT Kinabalu HQ.

Hey Nicole,
All your posting about your trip has put me to shame! Although internet at my diving resort was uber expensive so I only got on a few times to check. Besides, I was so busy diving, eating, & sleeping everyday I hardly had a chance to do anything else! Looks like you're having a blast, awesome! I'm back in KL now, head to Phuket Wed to meet up with Harry. Keep updating cuz I'll be reading! ;o)
nic I finally got a chance to read your blog, it hasn't been coming up on my computer. Sorry about not being able to chat yesterday I was a little weak. Turns out Mike's dad caught it as well. Funny thiing about doing things by yourself. Mine was always not being able to go to the movies by yourself. So in Oct 27th I finally did it. I went to afternoon show to ease into it. Funny I think I was one of 5 people in the theatre everyone was on there own. I ordered the biggest popcorn I could and a large pop and just enjoyed myself. I even had the courage to laugh out loud when the movie called for. Anyways sounds like your having an awesome time. Chat soon hopefully today as we celebrate boxing day at the Shaw household in Pickering..not sure if my stomach is ready for triffle yet? hee hee love you lots carla

Well, trifle was better than ever! We got the recipe from Mom and Jim is going to try it on New Year's Eve when we have Jane and Rhonda over. It was strange only having six of us for Christmas and I HAD TO DO DISHES!!!! Jim made a turkey dinner today since I had to work (people calling looking for last minute deals which are non existent from Toronto this year). We spoke to Carla, g'ma and your dad today and we are all going out for dinner on Firday night. Loraine won a night at a downtown hotel and "X" amount of money for dinner.
