I'm Backkk!!

I made it back to Japan safe and sound yesterday.

Overall the trip was an easy one until I hit Narita in Tokyo. Since when do airports and train companies NOT accept credit cards? I was counting on using my credit card in Japan to send my luggage ahead of me to Iwaki and to buy my train tickets back. But, they didn't accept credit card and I didn't have enough yen on me. Wasn't that a welcome back kick in the bum!?! But I managed and even had 10 yen (or 10 cents) left in my purse after my taxi ride to my apt!

Thanks for all the good times Toronto!

spelling mistake disclaimer:
In my last mast email I made two pretty obvious spelling mistakes. I would like to take this time to make the corrections..hehe

First of all, it's stressful not stressfull
Secondly, it was supposed to be "...threw my mom and I for a loop" not "...through my mom and I for a loop"

Phew I feel better now!!

Last note from Nihon

Im just sittin in an internet cafe now, killing time before my airport bus departs. Today marks the begining of my first journey home to Canada in just over a year. I cant really wrap my head around the fact that I have not seen my family or friends in a year. The time has flown by and its been a blast but I know its time for a break, no matter how short.

Here is a little list of things Im looking forward to doing while Im in Canada-

Get hugs from my mom, dad and sis
sleep in a real bed in my house
Get a hair cut
see all my family
Wax my eyebrows
get hugs from my mom, dad and sis
Enjoy many a BBQ
watch english TV
hug my friends
drive Ruby
Have coffee with the girls
shop in a real mall with clothes that fit
go to a movie theater and watch a movie without subtitles
get hugs from my mom, dad and sis

That looks like a pretty accurate iterary for my time at home..hehe

Watch out Canada, here I come!!!

Vacation time!

My summer vacation starts tomorrow! I can't wait! But of course, in true Nicole fashion, I am on my computer wasting time rather then pulling my suitcase out of the closet, dusting it off and packing. My excuse is the heat. Really- who can do anything in 30 something heat and humidity? Not this Canadian!

Anyhoo, for those of you in Canada- I Can't wait to see you! (hopefully you'll be reading this before I do- hehe).

I'm off to Hokkaido for 4 days, then on my way to the Big T.O.! Bring on the BBQ and Pizza- im awaitin!!

Sayonara Japan! (for a little while anyways)
