Happy Turkey Day!
On Thanksgiving my fellow Canadians (Mo and Logan) gathered to cook Turkey Dinner.
As there is no Turkey in Iwaki we settled for roasted chicken and stuffing cooked in the oven, but both were delicious. We also had mashed potatoes, boiled carrots and salad. We followed dinner with my very own homemade applecrisp! Yummy! It was wonderful to celebrate with the guys and it was perhaps the most 'homemade' meal I have ever had the pleasure of eating in Japan!

Hi Nicole:
Glad you had a "turkey" on Thanksgiving. The apple crisp looks good..you'll have to share the recipe! Your dad and Loraine invited us to Loraine's home for Thanksgiving but both Jim and I were working so we couldn't go. Jim cooked a 15.5 lb turkey on Thanksgiving for the two of us so we had turkey (sandwiches, a la king, cold slices etc) for the next eight days. Just finished it on Monday.
I went to see Barbra Streisand last night (Jim didn't want to go in the "cheap seats") with some friends from work. A 54 piece orchestra played the Funny Girl overture and she was amazing and in great voice. Il Devo performed with her and there was tremendous applause after they sang Somewhere with Streisand.
Take care and see you soon,
Love,
David (and Jim who says he is going to send you a note)
